From the minute you wake up until the moment you go to sleep, your body is being prepared for a better outcome for the rest of the day and those 24 hours after. The reason you could not do your morning stretches could be because you are not doing them often. Eating a good breakfast should be one of those key tips for staying fit and healthy. Breakfast is an excellent time to get yourself energized so you can start your day with a bang. A good breakfast will keep you energized for the rest of the day. Breakfast is the perfect time to include your metabolism into tip number one to staying fit and healthy: Be active. For if you are exercising regularly, you are burning more calories in the morning.



Getting up early and taking your one cup of hot water with milk in the morning will get your metabolism going off the charts. However, for those times that you aren't exercising, one of the best ways to get your metabolism going, get some protein bars and put them in your morning routine. Breakfast is one of the best sources of protein so you will not be hungry for the rest of the day. The quality of your breakfast determines the quality of your afternoon snack and in the evening. This is why nutritionists recommend taking your meals before the start of each day. If you go to bed early, then you will wake up light-headed and tired all at once. This means your metabolism might not rise at all. For that reason, morning stretches with a latte or coffee should come into play immediately.


Whole grains have always been thought of as being sedentary. For days, once in a while, I find myself eating rice and not a bagel. I have gotten to know how much energy it takes to fit in the shower, and being in the shower is probably its most relaxing place to be. Being fully present in the shower while you are undressed, sans anything else and just in there. Being surrounded by a room full of friends, music, and candles is for me, the perfect time to relax. I find this way most refreshing. So, for the new year, get your morning stretching done.
